I had stopped for coffee at a local cafe on my way from Baxter Springs to Sharon Springs. Spring was in the air. It was almost sundown.I was heading northwest to a Southern Baptist Easter sunrise service. A family of four came in and settled into the booth just across from my table. I figured they were church people when they instantly bowed their heads and folded their hands. The cozy booth was soon filled with gentle sounds. Each face was bathed in a soft, warm glow. Father, mother, son and daughter seemed totally oblivious to everyone and everything around them. As the waitress, Sharon Baxter, brought me fresh coffee, I had to ask, "Are they regular customers?" "Every Wednesday night they'll be right there in that booth with the Wi-Fi connection. They're Techno-costals and they pray in thumbs."
