The New Jerusalem Jobs Forecast

Accountant - with the combination of all debts cancelled (Colossians 2:14) and riches of unfathomable depth (Romans 11:23), this does not appear to be a career with a future.

Sarcasmist - probably won't make it through the purifying fire on the way into the Holy City. There will be humor, the finest ever, but don’t expect any of the biting sarcasm so popular during the earth’s last days. If you’re dead set on this, you may find what you’re looking for outside the city limits (Matthew 8:12).

Politician - You’re joking . . . right?

Construction Worker - there’s no indication that building projects will ever cease (1 Corinthians 3:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:11), so don’t toss out your tool belt or your hard hat.

(Ephesians 6:13-18)

Government Worker - while Revelation 21:8 certainly appears to disqualify many government workers of this age, there is a bigger and better government (Isaiah 9:7) that will no doubt, offer  opportunities to true public “servants.” Language and other background characteristics will not hinder applicant’s chances (Isaiah 66:18), but job security will depend on Who you know. (Matthew 7:23)

Musician - entry level positions (Psalm 100:2,4), full time positions (Psalm 34:1), first shift

(Psalm 108:1-2) and travel available (Psalm 108:3).

Priest - Affiliation with a particular denomination not required (1 Peter 2:5). Robes provided.

Investment Counselor -  a strict expiration date (Joshua 24:15) will make this field obsolete at the sound of the bell . . . the bell of the last trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:52). For those who made timely investments, and those who counseled them wisely, the returns will be absolutely amazing (1 Corinthians 2:9).
