The Year of NOAH

In a welcome spirit of unity, several of our church committees have acknowledged the need to restrict or revise the practice of indiscriminately slapping acronyms on church programs and groups. The idea was introduced by members of the Committee Improving Attendance as well as the Interchurch Relations Society. The United Sunday School Reformers have often complained about frequently receiving mail intended for the Committee Correcting Church Policies. When it was made clear that this new approach would have no effect on the fundraising profits of Baptists Against All Legalism, they were only too pleased to hop on board and 2023 was officially and unanimously proclaimed as The Year of NOAH - No Overusing Acronyms Henceforth. Oh well, as they say down at the convent thrift store, “Old habits . . .”
