Woodstock, Rock and Blues in the Pews
As a sheltered, naive teen from the Woodstock era, I had misconceptions regarding the meaning of "high church." The problems began when I started hanging out with local Episcopalians. It wasn't long before I was spending every Saturday night with the masses at Our Lady of Perpetual Negativity. My Baptist parents were incensed and so was I; going from one smoke filled sanctuary to another.
Fortunately I was kidnapped, deprogrammed and cultivated into youth ministry at the Every Wind of Doctrine Church of the Current Trend. I was awarded a record player that could play records backwards and my music ministry began.
